Cross-country - Last Friday’s Cross-Country races clearly displayed our school values to STRIVE, ACHIEVE, CARE and PARTICIPATE.  It was wonderful to see our tamariki trying their best.  Who would not be moved by the sight of children supporting their peers to finish the race by running alongside them, with the rest of the school cheering them on?  I am proud to belong to such a caring school.  Thank you Ms Weir, teachers and parent helpers for a smooth running event.  Thank you parents and whānau for joining us.

Roboting in Writing

Yesterday Girisha (Y1/2, Mrs Sadler) wrote about  shopping  in  The Warehouse  and PaknSave.   She ‘roboted’ (sounded  out words while doing robot actions) to show the 1st,  2nd and  3rd sounds)  when  she was not sure how to spell a word. Girisha learned this useful method in the Yolanda Soryl’s Phonological Awareness programme.  Ka mau te wehi, Girisha!

"Ahhhh. This is the life". We got our nails done. By we I mean my Mum and my lovely sister and me. I love my sister. After we were finished I said, "I love the nail salon". Before we went to the nail salon me and my sister had yummy teriyaki chicken and slimy udon noodles.  By Charlotte Hancock
