Our Parent / Teacher Association (PTA)

Our Parent/Teacher Association is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation that works collaboratively with the school's Board of Trustees, Principal and management staff to support the great work that goes on, and to strive for new successes.

We value every contribution made by families to PTA fundraising activities throughout each year. You can become a member of the PTA, or simply join us as a guest at our monthly meetings.

Our goals are to:

  • Encourage parental and family involvement in our school
  • Support the school in its focus on education of our children
  • Select and fundraise towards approved school purchaces and projects
  • Collaborate with the Board of Trustees
  • Communicate with the community regarding PTA and school activities

We aim to have representation from all levels of the school community in our PTA, so every class is encouraged to have at least one parent representative. This is a fantastic chance to do something very special for your children.

Email the PTA for more information, or attend a PTA meeting. Meetings are held in the school hall at 7pm on the given dates.

  • 16 February: PTA meeting - following on from the "Meet the Teacher"
  • 2 March:  PTA meeting
  • 11 March: Camp Night/Family Picnic (Lara, Carole, Juliet)
  • 18th March: Camp Night Rain Date
  • 6 April: PTA meeting

TERM TWO (22nd of May – 15th of July 2011)

  • 2 - 6 May: Entertainment Books issued (Amanda)

4 May: PTA meeting

  • 9 - 13 May: Spell-a-thon words issued (Event yet TBC)
  • 16 - 25 May: Entertainment Book orders/issuing (Amanda)
  • 30 May - 3 June: Spell-a-thon testing (Event yet TBC)
  • 8 June: PTA meeting
  • 6 July: PTA meeting
  • 8 July: Monster Disco (Amanda)
  • 22 July: Movie Night (Carole)

TERM THREE (1 August – 7 October 2011)
